Jewish community in the UK 'light up London' in memory of Bondi Beach terror attack victims
Hundreds gathered outside the Houses of Parliament in London on Monday evening (December 15) to honour the Bondi Beach terror attack victims.
The vigil, organised by Campaign Against Antisemitism and Chabad Lubavitch UK, was held on the second night of Hanukkah. Organisers said they would 'light up London in honour of our brethren killed at Chabad in Australia and in the spirit of the festival of Chanukah', adding, 'we will bring light to the darkness.'
The nephew of London-born rabbi Eli Schlanger, who was killed during the shooting that targeted a Hanukkah celebration, lit a menorah in Parliament Square in memory of his uncle and all the victims of the attack.
