Various of plants on desert Storyline China has treated over 340,000 square km of land affected by water and soil erosion during the 14th five-year plan period (2021-2025), according to the Ministry of Water Resources. The national efforts have rehabilitated about 116,000 square km of eroded lands, raising the national soil-water conservation rate to over 73 percent, the ministry said. Soil-water conservation rate refers to the proportion of areas with good soil-water conditions to the total land area of a country.
