Værøy is one of the most beautiful islands I've ever seen. A place is made up of many elements: first and foremost, we have the kingdoms of nature. Whether we're in a city or a forest, we are the same beings, just in different forms. Yes, I know it's obvious that a refrigerator is part of the plant kingdom and a wooden door is part of the plant kingdom, but most people don't usually see them that way when they look at them. Værøy isn't just about the kingdoms; it's special because, even though it's located within the Arctic Circle, it has a microclimate. The mountains act as a barrier to the north winds, and the temperature in the village stays above freezing. In summer, you also have the midnight sun and its spectacular reflections on both the sea and the sky.
