A Christmas morning celebration took an unexpected turn when 11‑year‑old Evie was wiped out by the family cat while running around the house in excitement over a new pair of Beta Squad socks, her favourite YouTube group. The moment, posted by @sinkinputts on Instagram, has reached 27.9 thousand views.

The video shows Evie going crazy celebrating her present, sprinting through the house in pure joy. As she loops back toward the hallway, the family cat Simba suddenly jumps out in front of her, colliding with her mid‑run and sending her tumbling to the floor.

Despite the dramatic wipeout — and a near miss with the wall — Evie was excellent, popping back up and laughing at the unexpected ambush.

What exactly is happening in the video? Evie (11 years old) has just received a pair of Beta Squad (her favourite You Tube group) socks and was going crazy celebrating the present. She then runs around the house and as she’s running back, our pet cat Simba comes out of nowhere and jumps infront of her as she’s running and she gets wiped out by Simba. She was very lucky how she landed, as you can see she nearly hits her head on the wall but luckily she was absolutely fine and walked away laughing.
