Heavy rain in Spain's Valencia region caused the Barxeta ravine to overflow on Sunday, December 28, forcing residents in the towns of Pobla Llarga and Carcaixent to evacuate. The Civil Guard preemptively relocated dozens of people to a local youth center as a safety measure as floodwaters threatened nearby homes.
