Los Angeles, United States - January 04, 2026 01/04/2026 03:30 am GMT-0800 SIMI VALLEY, Calif. – Simi Valley police officers responded to reports of a burglary in progress at Simi Sportscards, located in a strip mall at 2345 Erringer Road. Upon arrival, officers confirmed a burglary had occurred. The store specializes in sports and Pokémon trading cards. It is unclear what items were taken or their value. The suspects possibly fled south in a vehicle on Erringer Road. No further details are available at this time. UPDATE (01/05/2025): According to NBC4 Los Angeles, the owner of Simi Sportscards stated that burglars stole sports and Pokémon cards from the store's glass cases, resulting in approximately $50,000 in losses. The owner added that the store’s inventory was entirely depleted, meaning the shelves will remain empty for the coming days and possibly weeks. Detectives are now investigating whether the robbery is connected to other recent card store thefts in LA County. Simi Valley police officials, as reported by NBC4 Los Angeles, cited a burglary attempt a few months ago at another Simi Valley card shop just a mile away.
