Noel Gallagher has revealed that recording the next James Bond theme with Oasis would be an "absolute honour”. The British singer-songwriter has spoken out amid rumours that the legendary Britpop band could be tapped for the iconic franchise's upcoming soundtrack. During an appearance on TalkSport on Monday, Noel addressed the speculation, confirming that he has not been approached regarding the project. ”This James Bond thing? What, Oasis? Nah," the 58-year-old said when asked if the rumours were true. When pressed on whether it is something the band, which includes his brother Liam Gallagher, would consider, Noel added: ”Of course. It would be an absolute honour, and I think those kind of things should be done by Brits not Yanks.” The Wonderwall hitmaker also joked that while he currently has no plans to record music for the film, he would be keen to play a "Mancunian villain" in the next instalment. Noel’s comments follow the August announcement that British screenwriter Steven Knight, known for creating Peaky Blinders and House of Guinness, has been confirmed to write the next Bond film. Shortly afterwards, reports claimed that Amazon MGM, which now controls the Bond franchise, was in talks with Oasis to provide the soundtrack. Noel and Liam Gallagher reunited in 2025 after a 16-year feud, delighting fans with a long-awaited reunion tour.
