Israeli Forces Demolish Home of Attacker in Kafr Qabatiya Following Harod Valley Attack
- January 14, 2026 Israeli security forces overnight demolished the home of Ahmad Abu al-Rub in the town of Qabatiya, within the Menashe Brigade area, approximately two and a half weeks after a combined attack carried out in the Harod Valley on December 26, 2025. The attack resulted in the deaths of Samson Mordechai and Aviv Maor, with additional civilians injured. The operation involved forces from the Nahal Brigade Reconnaissance Unit, the Yahalom Unit, and the Border Police Yiftah unit. The demolition followed the sealing of the residence carried out shortly after the attack during earlier Israel Defense Forces activity in the village. In parallel with the demolition, Nahal reconnaissance forces conducted arrests and questioning of suspects in the surrounding area as part of ongoing counterterrorism operations.
