WASHINGTON DC, UNITED STATES - JAN.14: An albino squirrel was seen at the National Mall in Washington DC, United States, on Wednesday, Jan. 14.
Footage showed the squirrel with completely white fur moving across the grass as other squirrels gathered nearby.
National Guard members were also seen feeding squirrels in the area.
Albinism is a rare genetic condition that causes partial or complete loss of pigmentation and occurs in squirrels at a rate of about one in 100,000 births.
Scientists estimate that only around 20 albino squirrels exist among nearly two million squirrels in the United States.
