On January 12, 2026, in Hubei, China, @Lǎoliúde shared a dramatic video featuring a frilled-neck lizard inside a room lined with reptile enclosures. In the video, the lizard is already alert inside its terrarium, standing tall with its mouth open and its colorful neck frill fully extended in a classic defensive display. In the video, as the author approaches the glass with a smartphone, the lizard suddenly strikes the screen, knocking the sliding glass panel out of its tracks and spilling into the room. The lizard then continues its intense display on the floor, running upright across the tiles with its frill shaking among scattered bins and paper, while the author quickly backs away.
