This video was shot facing North from the 11th floor of 1025 Connecticut Ave NW. The building where the smoke is coming from appears to be near 1726 M Street NW Washington DC.

Prior to the video and again following it, a man in a yellow construction vest calmly worked to fight the fire with both fire extinguishers and a hose (a low volume hose like a garden hose, not a firehose). Shortly after this video sirens were heard. It was unclear from my vantage point whether the man on the roof put out the fire out on his own or whether someone was able to help from below, but the smoke ceased before any firemen could be seen on the roof. I'm submitting additional photos as well
