Super Saturday
Fancy a pint? England's coronavirus lockdown will take another step in opening up more businesses and social events on Saturday, July 3. The government have allowed the gathering of two households, the reopening of hairdressers, hotels, restaurants and maybe the most important, pubs. Some pubs may even be opening their doors from 6am. However, a poll conducted by the i newspaper revealed only one in 10 plan to visit a pub or restaurant on so-called Super Saturday - some are also calling it Independence Day - suggesting that many intend to stay in as much of the country reopens.
What we're looking for:
:: Lengthy queues at newly reopened places
:: People celebrating the easing of lockdown
:: A look into how businesses are coping with the reopening
:: Heartwarming (socially distant) reunions, surprise visits, people connecting with friends
:: Emotion-packed parties and public gatherings
:: The practical challenges of ordering a pint
:: Pubs and restaurants with dividers up to enforce social distancing
:: Creative and innovative tech solutions adopted by bars, restaurants and customers
:: People not respecting the rules and tensions between police and pub-goers
Please do stay safe and abide by the government's guidelines when out and about.
