Footage has emerged from China of good samaritans stepping to help protect loose money after an armoured cash carrier dropped a case.

The video, filmed on Chaozhou, Guangdong Province on Wednesday, shows a large number of passersby surrounding the piles of cash to protect it from would-be thieves.

According to local reports, the cash dropped out of an armoured cash carrier but the driver didn't notice and continued on his way.

Fortunately, passersby called the police and surrounded the loose money until officers arrived on the scene.

Warmhearted passersby called the police and helped look after the cash before they arrived.
