An amusing video has emerged of a woman and her paragliding instructor almost crashing as they try to take off.

The footage, shot in Talloires, France this summer, captures the moment the almost hit the ground seconds after they lifted from it.

They eventually managed to fly away.

My sister in law bought my wife - Erica - a paragliding experience for her 30th birthday. The 'flight' took place in the foothills above and overlooking Lake Annecy. What happened next will live long in the memory and amuse us, our family and friends, forever. Perhaps the most amazing thing about it is how I managed to keep a steady hand while this was happening in front of me. If you listen carefully you can hear another instructor watching on sarcastically say 'Bravo Silvan' - the name of Erica's instructor.
