Incredibly adorable otter pups who still can't see too well, or stand up for that matter.

2 of the 3 orphaned Oriental or Asian small clawed otter pups we are raising, to hopefully release when they are older. They are all females! We have had them for 31 days now and they are doing very well. When they arrived they were totally deaf and blind. Now their eyes are open but not sure they can hear yet. They were brought to us by village boys who were clearing land and the mother was accidentally killed. We have them on low lactose puppy/kitten milk every 3 to 5 hours. We had to feed them around the clock, every 2 hours when we first got them! Many sleepless nights. Please do not patronize the illegal wildlife trade and get these as pets. They should be in the wild! Although these pups were not victims of the trade, we will always worry about them when they are released because of it being so prevalent on this island.Read more about these otters on my blog at: http://otters-of-palawan.blogspot.com
