MHM Track Day Crash - Medium Group (18-03-17)

Buy video

Was at a public track day at the local race course.

The rider in front of me broke one of the rules of the track day (no abrupt braking after getting on another rider's line), which caused me to apply too much front brake, and flip the bike at 110 MPH (because of the gearing, the speedo was under reading by 11%, which means that I was going even faster than indicated).

Bike tumbled end over end - landing on my right leg, crushing it - before coming to a rest in the gravel. I slid on the track for well over 100' before finally coming to a halt.

Bike was heavily damaged, and all of my gear was destroyed.
