Footage of firefighters in the process of pouring three-and-a-half tonnes of water down a hole during a rescue attempt of a buffalo trapped in a narrow well.

The video, filmed on April 24 in China's Guangxi Province, shows the rescuers filling the narrow hole to help the 250kg animal swim up.

At the end of the clip, they use rope and a winch to pull the buffalo through the widened gap.

Footage of firefighters pouring 3.5 tons of water to rescue a 250 kg buffalo trapped in a narrow well has emerged from China.

The video, filmed in Guigang, Guangxi Province on April 24, shows firefighters pouring water into a three-metre-deep and 0.7-metre-wide well to let the buffalo trapped in it float up.

After the buffalo rises up, firefighters use a rope to tie on it and pull it out with villagers.

After half an hour, it was rescued successfully.
