Dramatic footage has surfaced from China of severe flooding in the city of Yulin, Shaanxi Province.

One video showed food waters raging through the city, submerging a bridge and causing a building to collapse.

Twenty-thousand people have been evacuated from their homes, according to local media.

The incident was caused by all the water leaking out of a dam upstream of the city, according to local reports.

Dramatic footage has emerged of water flowing out of a dam springing a leak flooding the city in northern China.

In the video, captured in Yulin, Shaanxi Province on July 26, deep floodwater submerges the bridge and vehicles, while a building crumbles in it.

Around 20,000 residents were evacuated and placed to the safety area.

The water in the dam has almost run out and no casualties were reported at the moment.
