A terrifying video has emerged from China of a circus tiger attacking a trainer.

In the clip, which was filmed in Yingkou, Liaoning Province on August 20, the tiger drags the man around a large cage as another trainer beats the big cat with a stick.

Eventually the tiger lets go and the trainer gets to his feet with no obvious signs of injury.

According to reports, the tiger suddenly became angry during the performance and attacked the trainer.

The circus has reduced the number of performances, saying the anima must have been "tired."

The video, shot in Yingkou, Liaoning Province on August 20, shows the tiger jumping onto a trainer and dragging him on the performance stage.

While, another trainer tries to rescue him by using a stick to hit the tiger for more than a dozen of times.

According to local news, the tiger suddenly got mad and attacked the trainer, when it was performing on stage.

The theatre said the tiger might be tired and they reduced the circus performances.

Fortunately, the trainer didn't have obvious injuries.
