An adorable clip has emerged from the Canary Islands, Spain of a baby pilot whale approaching a small boat and appearing to converse with a person on board.

In the clip, which was filmed earlier this month, the baby swims slowly up to the inflatable dinghy and begins to respond in squeaks when the filmer speaks to it softly in French.

"What are you telling me?" The filmer asks.

After a few moments, the baby whale swims off with its mother.

"I've known these babies since they were born. They know the sound of my boat, the mothers too, so I think they trust me," the filmer wrote online.

"If I approach quietly, they come by themselves to my boat to say hello."

Tenerife, canary Islands,This beautiful baby pilot whale asked first to his mother if he can go around my boat, then he came and charmed me, contort himself. After a few second as i talking to him he answered... i can’t tell you What but it was a beautiful communication and moment. It is not the first Time it happening . I Know these babies from they are born, they Know the sound of my motor boat, the mothers too, i think they have trust. With délicate approach they come themselves to my boat to say hello. Sometimes with shaking they bodies, sometimes with à conversation . I would love understand What they say to me.
