This is the dramatic moment a police officer CATCHES in his arms a woman who fell from the first-floor of a building in northwest China.

CCTV video shows the quick-thinking policeman heroically putting himself in harm's way to catch the woman who had fallen out of a window on the first-floor of a foot spa in Aksu Prefecture in northwestern China's Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region.

The video also shows the hero cop being treated in the hospital as his lower back was broken.

Local media said that the woman was not in a good mood having had a quarrel with her husband and at the time of the accident was sat on the window ledge facing inwards with her back facing outwards.

She fell off the building accidentally when police were trying to persuade her to go into the room.

Unlike the brave policeman, the woman was not injured at all.

The incident occurred on March 4.
