An eyewitness captured a standoff between a gunman inside a Panera Bread restaurant in Princeton, New Jersey, and the police on video. The incident took place on March 20 across from Princeton University.

“I was walking on Nassau Street and saw a woman cop crouching by the window of Panera Bread with her gun drawn looking into the window,” the filmer said.

“This was a stark contrast from the beautiful campus across the street where I was forced to move as more police officers came, including a detective with a bulletproof vest,” the filmer added.

ABC News reported that the “gunman was shot and killed by police after he engaged in an hours-long standoff.”

This woman cop to your left is particularly brave standing there right at the window. You can hear the cop to your right crouched behind cars asking her can you see anything and I believe she responds no. In a latter video she bravely shifts positions to try and get a better look. The cop to the right is Princeton Cop that drives a small vehicle and his job is giving out parking tickets so today I was shocked to see him crouched in front of cars for protection instead of ticketing them and his gun drawn! The first responders, staff and customers with the exception of the gunman all survived.

I always stop in Princeton to shop and visit the campus before I visit my Mom in a nursing home. I was walking on Nassau street and saw a woman cop crouching by the window of Panera Bread with her gun drawn looking in to the window. An older fragile man has just exited looking scared and confused. He safely existed. The first video shows the woman cop And a Princeton parking cop crouched behind parked cars. I’ve always seen this cop in a little of vehicle giving tickets I had no idea he had a gun this was a first for me here in Princeton one of the country’s most beautiful and quiet campuses. The campus has so many paths to walk, museums, a church so this was a stark contrast from the beautiful campus across the street where I was forced to move as more more police officers came including a detective with a bullet proof vest. Once we are across the street where filmed this again for her own safety were were forced to move even further away. I over heard two cops saying that there was a man with a shot gun to someone’s head but that was never verified. We do know there was someone in there with a gun and he’s dead. I was told he killed him self but later it may have been death by cop that he was shot by cop I don’t now.

The Princeton Police had me move across the street for my own safety so this was filmed from Princeton University Campus. At the time I heard a cop say a man had a shot gun to someone's head. This was verified by a cop across the street but later I believe it was only a gun not a shotgun. Princeton University is one of the most beautiful campuses in the USA so it was shocking and unexpected to capture what I did unfolding. One dead from a gun shot. I was told it was suicide but later I was told suicide by cop meaning the cops killed him in the shot out but I don't know the real story including why did the gun man do this in the first place?
