This once-abandoned cat and this wild deer may not have much in common, but they sure are friends.

The video, taken by Jean Skinner in North Carolina on June 7, shows the two animals snuggling and giving kisses to each other.

"They spend time together, I'm pretty sure they're in the woods a lot," Skinner narrates in the video. "These two, they amaze me."

Target (once a tiny, hungry, feral kitten) showed up at our house Labor Day weekend 2017. Every evening when I go out to feed the deer I say "Target, let's go feed Bumper!" Target gets all excited and runs out with me. The cat and deer greet each other with face rubs and Bumper the deer grooms Target the cat from head to toe. They love each other. The other three deer in this herd are still unsure of what to make of the overly friendly cat and are still a bit stand-offish, but Target tries to make friends with them, too.
