A crew member filmed from inside an air tanker as it dropped 3,000 gallons of retardant on the Klamathon Fire, which is burning on the California-Oregon border.

In the video, the crew member films out the window as the air tanker appears to be flying low with the smoke-filled trees just below.

A loud swoosh can be heard as the crew drops the retardant and the plane begins to climb away from the fire.

The Klamathon Fire has burned more than 35,000 acres, according to media reports.
