This is the heartbreaking moment a pigeon refused to leave its dead friend on a street in northern China’s Tianjin City on Monday (July 16).

The clip shows a pigeon standing beside the dead body of another bird under the sun.

Although a passerby uses his hand to push it gently and asks it to ‘go, go, go quickly…’, it does not move at all.

According to reports, the temperature reached to 40C on that day and the meteorological observatory issued the orange alert (the second serious level) for the high temperature.

The cause of the pigeon’s death was unknown, the onlooker said.
