STORYLINE:

An iconic bicycle brand in China which has been working to facilitate daily travel for generations of Chinese, has in recent years, shifted its focus on innovating cycling products and creating interactive experience for cyclists.

The Flying Pigeon brand was established in China's Tianjin in 1950, making it the first domestically designed and produced bicycle brand after the founding of New China.

In 2006, Flying Pigeon was recognized as a China Time-honored Brand.

To promote a higher-quality development, the company has cooperated with Tianjin University to build a cycling products innovation design and research center.

"Now we're focusing on product innovation, and we started with children's bikes all the way to student bikes, adult bikes, and later we also introduced wheelchairs. From the time you were born until you are unable to walk, there is a complete range of Flying Pigeon bikes. Additionally, we have transitioned from mass production in the past to offering personalized bicycles today. You can now customize a bike exclusively with us. Based on your requirements, we will craft a bicycle that fully embodies your individuality. We have innovated in our marketing strategies, shifting our focus from traditional offline sales to emphasizing online sales. Currently, we actively collaborate with major online platforms to reach a wider audience. Our sales volume was 650,000 in 2020. Through our efforts both online and offline over the past three years, by the end of this year, the sales volume, though not yet fully compiled, is expected to be around 3.8 million, close to 4 million units, surpassing the previous best record of 3.68 million for the Flying Pigeon brand."

The Flying Pigeon brand now boasts a diverse range of over 270 products, with a presence in more than 345 online stores and over 3,000 retail outlets nationwide. 

The market share of the brand is steadily recovering, and this time-honored brand is gradually rejuvenating with new vitality.
