Look before you open a taxi door! Motorcyclist collides with vehicle when passenger steps out without checking first
This dashcam footage shows why passengers should look before opening car doors in traffic - as a motorcycle come hurtling down and smashes into the vehicle.
The taxi in the footage had just arrived at a set of traffic lights in Taguig City, Philippines, during rush hour last Wednesday (18/07) morning at 9am.
But the passenger decided to leave the car early and flung open the door unaware that a moped rider was approaching.
The motorcyclist is seen being clattered by the door and toppling over onto the road, before the young woman emerges from the cab.
Onlooker Nicholas Hernandez said the taxi driver was fined after the accident.
He added: ''The accident was caught from my dash cam. I feel sorry for the poor taxi driver, he was ticketed due to his passenger’s negligence.''
