A dramatic video has emerged showing what appears to be a fire on the Tangmere, a historic steam train, as it passed through Dawlish in Devon, UK on Sunday.

The footage, caught by a Dawlish Beach CCTV camera positioned over the track, shows a bright blaze coming from the driver’s cab.

According to local newspaper Torquay Herald Express, a spokesman for West Coast Railway Company has denied there was a fire: “It looks terribly exciting but nothing happened. It is a trick of the light. It is some webcam that sits just above the railway at Dawlish It picked up the reflection of the fire box when the door was open reflecting off the steam above.”
