A video has emerged of the destruction caused by Hurricane Odile at a hotel on the southern tip of the Baja Peninsula, Mexico.

The footage, captured by a tourist at the Riu Santa Fe hotel in Los Cabos earlier this month, shows the aftermath of the category-three hurricane.

Many uprooted trees can be seen, while large parts of the hotel lie submerged under floodwater.

According to local reports, the guests at the 5 star hotel were safely evacuated and no injuries were reported.
