Learner motorcyclist has near-miss at red light in London
A dramatic video has emerged capturing the moment a learner motorcyclist had a near-miss after running a red light in central London on Saturday.
Two motorcyclists, displaying learner plates, can be seen approaching the red traffic lights when the first motorcyclist rides straight into the path of two cars coming from a different direction.
Fortunately, one of the cars slows just in time to stop the motorcyclist being hit.
The footage was captured by a taxi driver on his dashboard camera, near Tottenham Court Road, in the early hours of Saturday morning.
“He clearly wasn’t paying enough attention to the road ahead because he turns back to see where his friend is” the cabbie later wrote online.
