Two security guards in India ran for their lives after a landslide engulfed their outpost.

CCTV footage captured at the Bhakra dam in Bilaspur, Himchal Pradesh, shows the two guards making a dramatic escape from their hut before rocks and debris come crashing down moments later.

Aftermath footage shows the wrecked outpost and mounds of large rocks littering the hillside after the incident.

Heavy rains in the north of India have caused flooding and landslides.

Eight people are believed to have died, with hundreds of roads being closed due to rain or landslides.

The video belongs to the famous Bhakra Dam of Bilaspur district. Where police personnel posted on duty saved their lives by fleeing the landslide from the hill. If they would have stopped for a few seconds then their life could have gone too.

Large stones began to fall suddenly from the hill and in a few seconds they broke the entire barrier. Point of Barrier Point and the place where the police personnel were sitting also broke down. The Bhakra Dam has now come under threat due to hiking the hill..
