One thousand monks walk over 400KM on a bed of flower petals.
This event used to take place about twice a year at Pathumthani, 1 hour outside Bangkok. In this case on Jan 29th 2014, 1129 monks walked over400 KM to Wat Thammagui. They walk on a bed or flower petals, Amazing thailand.
The route is lined with the devoted believers, who pray as the monks walk by.
It was an amazing site to see, but unfortunately it was cancelled due to complaints from local people, due to the disruption to local life that it caused, traffic etc.
