Locals from a village in Cambodia were captured transporting a wooden house along a road and causing severe travel disruption.

The unusual scene was captured by a driver stuck in the traffic jam in Kampot province, Cambodia, in March this year.

Footage shows the wooden house loaded onto two tractor-trailers reversing down the road.

Oncoming vehicles are forced to squeeze through a tiny gap and go off the road onto the dirt track whilst others wait patiently behind the house.

Some cars and motorcycles do risk overtaking to get clear of the obstacle, narrowly avoiding collisions with other vehicles.

The filmer said: ''I was stuck behind the house but I didn't want to overtake because I did not have good visibility.’’

''I think people were moving to another village and they wanted to take their home with them.''
