This is the moment a woman in Southend in southeast England brazenly stole an expensive-looking Christmas wreath from a front door.

Nest cam security footage from Sunday morning (December 2) shows the smirking woman, wearing a woolly hat and leather jacket, nonchalantly walking up to the house and then calmly removing the wreath.

The shocked resident said: "On Sunday morning I woke up to my alarm going off. As I reached over to the bedside cabinet for my phone I noticed a notification on the screen saying 'Unfamiliar Face at the Front Door.' This was our Nest Hello doorbell. As I pressed and held that notification I could see someone physically lifting our door's wreath off!"

Local media reported a spokesman for Essex Police as saying: "We are aware of the theft of a Christmas wreath from a property in Bournemouth Park Road, Southend, at around 7am on Sunday, December 2.

"We have identified a person we would like to talk to about the incident. Enquiries are ongoing."
