A woman got the shock of her life when a badger surprisingly landed on her whilst visiting Table Mountain in South Africa.

Footage captured on Tuesday (January 1) shows two male badgers vying for position on a rock.

After a few seconds fighting each other, one of the animals jumps onto the feet of a woman who can be seen screaming loudly as she flees in panic.

The rock badger, also called rock hyrax, is a terrestrial mammal native to Africa and the Middle East.
