Adorable footage of an elephant calf falling face-first into a mud pit while crossing a river in Kruger National Park, South Africa.

The clip, filmed on April 27, shows the elephant attempting to cross the river without slipping when suddenly he ends up face-first in the mud.

Wildlife enthusiast Edrich told Newsflare: “The young elephant didn’t get too far before it suddenly tripped and fell face first into the mud. As much as we felt sorry for the young elephant, I couldn’t help but to find it very entertaining and funny at the same time,

“With a little motivation coming from an adult female, the young elephant found new confidence to successfully conquer the last bit of its challenging river crossing,” he continued.
