A dramatic video has emerged of police trying to control hundred of protesters at the Westfield shopping centre in Shepherd’s Bush, London on Wednesday night.

The footage, captured by a bystander between the hours of 6pm and 9pm, shows protesters scuffling with police, chanting and waving placards.

76 arrests were made after an estimated 600 people gathered at the west London shopping centre and staged a “die-in” in solidarity with rallies in the US prompted by the death of Eric Garner.

“Hundreds of shoppers joined in and chanted 'we can't breathe' as well as anti police chants. The protest started off peaceful and then got more violent as the night went on. Many shoppers stopped shopping to watch” the filmer later wrote online.
