Pacific Snake Eel Found On Washington Coast

Buy video

On March 14th 2019 we were walking our pups on the Long Beach Washington Penninsula and came across something weird sticking out of the sand. It looked like it just burst through when we found it. As we got closer we realized it may be an eel of some sort. My wife Candace Woodbury called the Seaside Oregon Aquarium, sent photos and they immediately headed out to the location. It was found just south of the Cranberry beach access. Keith Chandler of the Seaside Aquarium is seen here removing the Pacific Snake Eel from the packed sand.
