Pattaya City Special Affairs Car Amuses Locals
A police car amused residents after it was seen emblazoned with the phrase 'Pattaya City Special Affairs'. The vehicle is part of a government organization in the Thai coastal city, best known as a sprawling red light city where many foreign men conduct affairs with local women. The operators of the vehicle seem oblivious to the double meaning in English of ‘affairs’. The logo on the car, which was parked outside the city's police station, amused residents who joked that there had been ''plenty of special affairs over the years'' in the notorious Sin City destination. Officials are keen to cut crime and re-brand Pattaya as a family holiday destination.
