Frightening moment huge boulders, triggered by landslide, fall off cliff; bring traffic to halt in northern India
A frightening visual has emerged of a landslide near a mountain region in northern India.
The incident took place on Aug. 25 at Rudraprayag town of the same district in Uttarakhand state.
Video of the incident shows huge boulders falling off a cliff disrupting road traffic in the area.
In a matter of few seconds, an entire portion of the cliff comes crashing down.
Commuters standing at the spot are seen capturing the visuals of landslide on their mobile phones.
Earlier on Aug. 6, one pilgrim was killed and eight others injured after a landslide hit their bus while they were returning from Badrinath shrine in Uttarakhand's Chamoli district.
