A massive landslide has crashed down in northern India's Jammu and Kashmir. The incident occurred on May 30 along the Mughal Road in the Poonch district.

As a result, a significant road was closed causing severe travel disruptions.

The landslide unleashed a destructive force, as trees, shrubs, soil, and rocks descended in a chaotic cascade. The once passable road now finds itself entirely obstructed, overwhelmed by an enormous amount of debris.

This recent incident follows a previous landslide that occurred in April near Rezin, Ganderbal district, in Jammu and Kashmir. That event led to the blockage of the Srinagar-Sonamarg road, causing inconvenience and disruption to local travel.

The incident took place on Mughal Road in Poonch district on May 30.


Visuals showed a mountainous terrain, where a treacherous landslide occurred, resulting in a chaotic scene. The landslide brought down trees, shrubs, and a mix of soil and rocks, tumbling downwards. The once-clear road now stands completely blocked, overwhelmed by the mass of debris.


Earlier, in April, a landslide occurred near Jammu and Kashmir's Rezin, Ganderbal district leading to blockage of the Srinagar-Sonamarg road.
