Further footage: Giant sinkhole in El Salvador prompts evacuations
A huge gully product of the rains of the last days in El Salvador, has been formed in the residential Santa Lucía, in the municipality of Ilopango, place from which the families that reside in the danger zone of new subsidence have been evacuated. The construction of the residential building dates from 1999 and, since 2008, presented the first problems with subsidence of land, for which some mitigation work was done, but in 2016, the problem resurfaced and since then it had no major attention, according to the authorities.
