The video captured the moment of The men danced on the burning bonfire in Tuyen Quang Province, Viet Nam.
This is a festival usually held twice a year in February and September after the indigenous people harvest crops.
The festival is called " Dancing on the fire" in English or " Nhảy lửa" in Vietnamese. The festival is meant to pray for the health and warmth of the fire god to protect the people when winter comes, give thanks to the gods for the good harvest, and pray for good weather for the next year.
People will choose men with good health to participate in the festival. The task of these men will dance on the burning bonfire. Their hands will pick up the embers and spread them around. Participants will take turns jumping until the fire is over.
According to the notion of participants, gods and ancestors gave them supernatural strength and courage to cope with the fire. Therefore, after burning charcoal with bare hands, they did not feel burned.
