Drone footage of a dolphin jumping and getting big air

Buy video

As I was cruising in a clear catamaran, I came across a pod of jumpy dolphins. One dolphin attempted a back flip but failed. Another one leapt high into the air and came crashing down on his side. They often use this style of jump in very shallow water to startle fish out of their hiding places. The video also shows a fish getting "kicked" repeatedly by a dolphin. Dolphin "kick" fish out of the water with their tails. The hunting technique stuns or injures the fish so it's easy to grab when it lands. Normally they only kick the fish once, this was the first time I saw a dolphin kick the same fish more than once.
