Astonishing footage shows how a motorcycle rider had to ride in the dirt track while oncoming cars veered into the wrong lane.

The rider was travelling in Kompong Speu, Cambodia, during the morning rush hour on November 16.

He recorded the terrifying scene as a succession of cars began overtaking each other, moving into the wrong lane and forcing others off the road.

The rider said that many of the vehicles were just inches away from causing a serious accident.

He added: ''Most cars were overtaking in the non-overtaking zone and doing it at high speed. There is a school in the area but nobody cares.

"They almost caused a serious accident. They turned the road into a one-way highway, even though we still have to travel along it.''
