On November 13, 2019 at approximately 3:45pm Lancaster County Sheriff, Pleasant Valley Fire Department, & Lancaster County EMS responded to a pedestrian struck. The accident happened on SC-160 across from Enclave at Bailes Ridge Apartments. Sources say when the first law enforcement officer arrived on scene a 16-year old was hit by a vehicle and in grave condition. MedCenterAir Medical Helicopter was immediately launched. The helicopter landed at the nearby Lowes Home Improvement. When MedCenter Air arrived, they decided the patient was to unstable for the flight to the hospital. A MedCenter Air paramedic rode with Lancaster EMS to the hospital. A hat and pair of shoes were seen laying in the roadway in a construction zone of SC-160. It appears the victim was hit by a White Ford Explorer registered to a commercial business.
