Rescue the green sea turtle caught on the net and spill oil in Bintan island, Indonesia
The green sea turtle (Chelonia mydas) is stranded netted by fishermen's nets that have been dumped filled with spill oil that was deliberately dumped at sea in Banyan Tree Hotel beach, Bintan island, Indonesia.
The Banyan Tree hotel staff quickly helped the turtle from the net and cleared the turtle from the black oil from the spill oil, after which the turtle was released into the sea.
According to Henri Singer, the hotel staff, "the green sea turtle may have been hit by a sea wave, which is currently a monsoon. The traces of oil from ships disposed of illegally make the sea turtle polluted too."
