Mother raccoon collects baby from roof and scales down guttering of Toronto house

A raccoon mother collected its baby from the roof of a house in Toronto after a wildlife control unit's attic inspection.

The wildlife control unit removed the raccoons from the attic and placed the babies on the roof for the mother to collect and relocate.

The filmer told Newsflare: "Our goal during attic inspections in the Spring season is to gather the babies and bring them outside for the mother to collect.

"Once on the outside, we often attempt to lure the mother outside with the cries of her babies. As you will see in the video, the crying can be quite effective but there is a 50/50 chance of it working depending on the mother raccoon.

"This mother collected her one baby that we placed on the roof for her and proceeded to climb down the downspout to the ground."

This footage was filmed in April 2019.
