Infrared thermometers have been installed at train stations in Wuhan, central China as well as Wuhan Tianhe International Airport in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak.

Footage filmed on January 20 shows an infrared thermometer device being used at Hankou railway station to check commuters' temperature.

The device scans the temperature of commuters as they walk past causing minimum disruption.

In total, more than 50 infrared thermometers have been installed at Wuhan airport and various train stations.

据武汉发布消息，此次武汉各大交通枢纽所安装的设备为高德IR236系列红外人体温度快速筛检仪。据介绍，这款设备主要通过高高竖起的摄像头以及红外热图像技术同时监测大范围人群的体温，快速找出并追踪体温较高的人员，同时发出警报信号，实现全天候监控。

这款设备最大的好处在于不会对进出交通枢纽的春运人群造成阻滞，同时还可实现精准的单点/多点高温自动追踪报警、对人脸进行温度测量，对温度较高的人进行报警和记录等功能。目前已有超过50台最新型号的快速筛检仪，已在包括武汉天河机场、武汉站等地安装。
