The funeral has taken place for a Palestinian teenager killed during clashes with the Israeli Defence Forces.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health said Badr Nedal Nafla, 19, was critically injured by Israeli soldiers during protests near the West Bank town of Qaffin on Friday evening (February 7).

Video filmed on Sunday shows the funeral procession starting out in front of Tulkarm Governmental Hospital before arriving in the village of Qaffin.

Palestinians in Qaffin have called for a general strike, according to Palestinian media.

Dozens were wounded in clashes in the West Bank on Friday amid a spike in violence since the release of US President Donald Trump's peace plan for the Middle East.

Two Israeli border guards were lightly hurt, according to the Times of Israel.

Palestinian Ministry of Health said Badr Nedal Nafla, 19, was critically injured by Israeli soldiers during protests near the village on Friday evening. A live shot penetrated in his neck resulting in the cutoff of the main artery. He was rushed to a nearby hospital but died of his wounds a couple of minutes later.

This is the sixth Palestinian to be shot dead by Israeli occupation forces during ongoing protests across the occupied West Bank, sparked by US President Donald Trump’s unveiling of the “deal of the century” plan, which the Palestinians perceive as undermining their historical and political rights to statehood and independence.

The funeral procession set out in front of the martyr Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital, roamed the city's streets, and the mourners chanted angry amplifications and chants condemning the crimes of the occupation against our people, before the procession arrived in the town of Qaffin, The town's masses welcomed her martyr with takbeer, raising the Palestinian flags, heading towards his family home, where his family took a look at the last farewell to him, and then the mourners performed the funeral prayer for him in the town's western cemetery.
